Hi, thanks reporting this,

This seems to be a missing setting somewhere in XFCE that I'm not an expert.
Assigning to XFCE maintainer.

Meanwhile,
@reporter, can you provide here a screenshot of the issue?

@Alejandro,

One more question:
How this beta was installed? From a beta2 iso? A Live system?

To circumvent a problem in your user directory, please log off from graphical session an switch to a virtual console by pressing Ctrl+Alt+F2.

As your user you will have a prompt command like
youruser@localhost ~ with a final $, note the "~" tilde sign before $.

Please carefully do (without the $ sign)
$ rm -rf ./.cache
$ rm -rf ./.kde
$ rm -rf ./.config

AGAIN! Please double-check what is printed on screen before press Enter each command.

Also, as an other workaround, please create an other user account on your system with the Mageia Control Centre.

I installed Mageia 8 Beta 2 XFCE Live edition in my hard disk.
Twice.
After a fresh reinstall, and update my system, I I couldn't reproduce the problem.

Maybe an update solved the problem or the bug never existed, although in my first installation I only installed a few applications and made the updates.

Sorry!

It is very good you reported this so we could have fixed it if it was still a problem :)

And thank you for the updated testing!

I close this for now, please reopen if you see it again.

Merry Christmas
