chrisv11c yes I disabled it for now as atleast some of the 8812 hw is now supported by the in-tree rtw88 driver. I need to check if your usb id is missing from the driver. ah, looks like that is still missing... I'll fix up the 3rdparty driver then again... fixed and re-enabled in svn for next kernel build I am interested to know if the driver for this adapter is going to supported by the Mageia distribution and have it working out of the box or will I have to submit a bug request when the latest kernel series has been applied. I ask this because you refer to it being a 3rdparty driver and I am not sure how it fits within the in-tree rtw88 driver you mention with regards to its support. I also have another linux distrobution I use and as far as I can see that distribution re configures the driver on the next boot up after a new series kernel has been applied. It will be supported /enabled from now on I just missed that it was not supported by the intree rtw88 driver yet. this should be fixed in kernel-5.10.1-2.mga8 currently building @Ian Please report back when you get that update, and if it solves your problem, close the bug (fixed). When the update arrives I will make sure everything functions as it should and close the bug (fixed). The adapter is now working correctly again. Thank you for help and fixing the problem.
