Description Omer I.S. 2020-12-15 18:30:14 CET
Hello, RTL interface for languages written from right to left (for example: Hebrew, Arabic, Persian, Urdu, Aramaic) can improve the user experience.
Comment 1 Lewis Smith 2020-12-15 20:33:33 CET
A modest enough remark.
Assigning to DavidG as the main committer of this, but wonder whether papoteur is also relevant, so CC'ing him.

Hi Omer,
This is indeed something that can be considered.
First you have to check that word "LTR" has been translated to RTL for the specific language. Translation are done on transifex.com. The program will thus apply specific settings for RTL language.
After that, when the new translation has been incorporated in a new publication, you have to check what is not OK with said translation and presentation, and report it here.

I have checked for Hebrew, and the word is well translated.
Thus, I published a 2.04 release. When it will be on repositories, you can check the actual state of your translation on how it is rendered.

Almost every thing is OK, but some parts need to be fixed.

Hi Omer,
This seems to be the application in error.
Can you launch as user from a console:
QT_LOGGING_RULES=qml=true mageiawelcome
and give me the console output here?
In console you can select text and then copy it in the clipboard with Ctrl-Alt-C
The first part of the command allows the application to output some debugging information.

The output is:
file:///usr/share/mageiawelcome/Install.qml:24:9: QML Image: Cannot open: file:///usr/share/icons/draklive-install.png
qml: Screen: 1.25 4.53250773993808

Hi,
Mageiawelcome 2.05 is coming in cauldron.
I thing that all problems you reported are solved. I have doubt about the Aplications tab, for the description.
Comment 11 papoteur 2020-12-28 09:45:36 CET
Hi Omer,
2.05 is now in repositories. Can you update mageiawelcome and report if it is OK?
