Description Doug Laidlaw 2020-12-09 04:45:09 CET
Description of problem:
I use getmail to download messages from my POP server. Under Mga 7, it worked beautifully. Under Cauldron, I get a conflict message:

"Delivery error (mboxrd delivery 16605 error (127, mbox delivery process failed (can't concat str to bytes)))"

From what I have looked up, this is usually caused by upgrading from Python2 to Python 3, but the getmail RPM shows the installed Python 3.

I don't understand the output of strace, but I have a file, except that Bugzilla no longer has a place to put attachments. This was done with no mails to download, so the conflict has not arisen.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
As above.

How reproducible:
Run command "getmail"

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Just as above.
2.
3.

Having regard to the list of release-blockers in Cauldron, I have reverted to 7.1. This bug is not present in 7.1.
