A lirc-remotes package is present in Mandriva 2010.1, but not in Mageia 1.

While lirc-remotes is not essential for operation of lirc it is a useful collection of example lirc config files.

I see there is no history for this enhancement request, so it seems it was assigned to you at the same moment it was filed.

Are you willing to package lirc-remotes, or would you rather reassign to Bug Squad, so maybe someone else can package it?

Last release is from 2002!

The sourceforge page states in big fat letters:

"Dead package.
This package is not maintained, and will most likely not even build. It's kept around for reference and in case someone would like to resurrect it."

Also the last update to any remotes config file was in 2014:
