Hi, thanks for reporting this bug. Upstream are late to the soup but they are in transitional state to tracker 3 to all their applications. I do think tracker2 binaries should be installed as long as all GNOME apps are not updated to tracker 3. I think also updating from Mageia 7 will retain tracker2 installed. I don't know therefore if Gnome Documents will be updated upstream. GNOME = 3.38 Gnome Documents = 3.34 (no new version since 11 months) According to this upstream commit: Commit 5e53fd9f authored 11 months ago by Christopher Davis's avatar Christopher Davis 🌱 flatpak: Pin tracker to 2.3 branch Tracker has branched for Tracker 3.0. See https://discourse.gnome.org/t/tracker-has-branched-for-3-0-use-the-2-3-branch-if-you-want-stability/1889 for more information. So Gnome Documents should be pinned to tracker 2.3, until new version come. Assigned to the package maintainer. (Please set the status to 'assigned' if you are working on it) Assignee:

gnome The tracker2 lib should already require the right package. After checking and fixing the (unneeded) gnome-documents require I noticed I didn't properly obsolete the previous tracker2 library and gir package. I've submitted new tracker2 packages (to ensure the right dependency), plus a new gnome-documents (though that'll hide the tracker2 packaging error). CC:

olav It works, now. It did not find any of my test PDF documents but now it launches without errors. |
