OpenAFS 1.9.0 has been released on October 2:

It adds support for kernels 5.8 and 5.9.

What's not clear is if they intend to add such support in a stable 1.8.x release soon, as 1.9.0 is a development release:

Either way, we'll need to update it in Cauldron before Mageia 8, as well as updating it in Mageia 7 when we update that to the 5.9 kernel series.
