Thank you for the request, and the references. Passing it on. To kernel for that bit; CC tools for the installer side. Component:
Installer =>
RPM Packages but i seem it does not work last mga7 kernel here, i had to build realteck driver to have network working. It should be available already in cauldron on i586 and x86_64 (CONFIG_R8169 is not enabled on arm, we should fix that), however it seems we forgot to update kernel-firmware package and still have 20200721. We should also update kernel-firmware when updating kernel to 5.9 for Mageia 7 and it should fix this. CC:
(none) =>
pterjan Actually kernel-firmware-nonfree, which is the relevant one here, was already updated to 20201022 so it should be fine already in Cauldron. (In reply to Pascal Terjan from comment #4) > It should be available already in cauldron on i586 and x86_64 (CONFIG_R8169 > is not enabled on arm, we should fix that), however it seems we forgot to > update kernel-firmware package and still have 20200721. > > We should also update kernel-firmware when updating kernel to 5.9 for Mageia > 7 and it should fix this. it's also coming to mga7 with 5.9.11-3.mga7 (or newer) Sorry for my late comment here, but it seems last official kernel support this NIC in r8169 module without doing anything Closing then Status:
