I can take this one. It's a packaging issue with plugin provides/requires in both pkgs. Assignee:

jani.valimaa Filtered out extensions .so from requires and provides for both, pix and gthumb. Please test again after mirrors are updated. I am afraid I am not sure how can I do this. I can install/remove pix without gthumb but I cannot install/remove gthumb without pix. There is no other dependency. Please try to install gthumb after you have updated your urpmi media. It should not pull pix anymore. Yes!!! It works. Thank you for your help! Closing as FIXED. Resolution:
