On a brand new installation of mga 8b2 eclipse-platform can be installed.
Can this bug be closed?

Yessss ! After my last update, it works like a charm. 
In fact it's all my Mageia 8 system which works like a Swiss clock ..
No problem anymore on my end to close this ticket.
