Verifying is that you saw in Thunderbird GUI when you compose a New message is... spellchecker...

ouaurelien But, in facts, after some try... I see spellchecker defaults to look for English US... instead of French for me. So, in Preferences, Composition, Spelling, feel free to double-check English-GB is selected, for you Len (French for me is OK). So, really closing this. Status:
