It would be great to see an RPM package for "RKWard" (http://rkward.sourceforge.net/)

RKWard is one of the few good GUIs for the most important statistical software "R" (= R-Base).

There used to be RPM packages for RKWard under Mandriva (see http://rpmfind.net/linux/rpm2html/search.php?query=rkward&submit=Search+...&system=&arch=).

The package is in cauldron, so it'll be in Mga 2 stable.

The request to have it packaged for Mga 1 is valid, because it is in Mdv 2010.

I'll assign to the maintainer, but since it is an enhancement, he is not obliged to do it.

I had not ignored this bug though. Since RKWard has been ported by matteo, at the time he was my padawan, i talked to him first... i'd answered today...

BTW, iiuc you have to remove Requires: katepart from cauldron package to get it building in mga1, but since you offered... you have to investigate why and if removing it's just enough ;)

Thanks Angelo. I could indeed rebuild RKWard for mga1 locally, but it crashed after using it a little. I need to investigate further. (I indeed removed the requires on katepart)

Testing complete on i586 for the srpm
rkward-0.5.7-4.1.mga1.src.rpm

Ran rkward, selected help, help on r, skimmed
through the intro, experimenting with various
commands in the R console.
