Hi, Thanks reporting this problem you encounter. In order to deal with it, could you produce a screenshot of the problem using spectacle (Mageia => Tools => Spectacle) as you are on Plasma. Add it on this bug report. Also, could provide Mark, Model of the Notebook PC, and if they exist some references on the battery enclosure. Have you ever tried Mageia 8 Beta 1 live ISO in order to know if planned new versions of softwares function well? Source RPM:

Thanks again helping identify the problem by providing a screenshot. Seems to be in plasmoid that bug occurs. What about "Batterie et luminosité" applet in systray? Does it show status when your system is plug on AC? Or only on battery? Does it provide useful informations or nothing? In such case, could you provide an additional screenshot of this applet? Summary:
Can't see batterie level =>

Thanks again helping identify the problem by providing additional screenshots. That is reassuring is that your Mageia 7 system DOES see a battery. But you as user do not have a percentage nor time remaining before battery will be empty. Does acpid.service is running? $ systemctl status acpid.service Also, what does following command give? $ upower -i /org/freedesktop/UPower/devices/battery_BAT0 acpid.service is ok:
systemctl status acpid.service

kde (In reply to David GEIGER from comment #13) > This bug should be reported upstream at https://bugs.kde.org/ Reporter said this works well on Mageia 8 B1 with Live ISO. So seems problem already fixed upstream. Mageia 7 is EOL since July 1st 2021. There will not have any further bugfix for this release. You are encouraged to upgrade to Mageia 8 as soon as possible. @reporter, if this bug still apply with Mageia 8, please let us know it. @packager, if you work on the Mageia 7 version of your package, please check the Mageia 8 package if issue is also present. In this case, please fix the Mageia 8 version instead. This bug report will be closed OLD if there is no further notice within 1st September 2021. Hello, I confirm, since upgrade to MGA 8, there isn't no more bug with this plasmoid. It works well (In reply to Guillaume Royer from comment #16) > Hello, > > I confirm, since upgrade to MGA 8, there isn't no more bug with this > plasmoid. > It works well Thanks :-) Closing Resolution:
