NEEDINFO KDE And are you using the same layout on both screen ? Because you can use folder view layout on one screen but also the desktop layout on the second screen or the search & launch layout... CC:

balcaen.john That could be. However, it was not intentionally setup like that so I will not be aware of it. Well from your description it's more probably something like that (which should also match with upstream default activities). Hi Koos, I understand from John's reaction, that a difference in lay-out between the screens is the default. So this isn't a bug and I'm closing it. If you don't agree, feel free to reopen it and tell us why you do still think it is a bug. Keywords:

(none) Point taken that it is not a bug then, but it leads to confusion since both those menu descriptions opens the same sort of screen to configure the desktop - and that is what I as user want to get to easily. So yes, I do believe that whatever the layout is called, configuring a desktop must say "configure desktop" and "folder view layout" is rather subject to that. Version:

This name simply reflect the layout used by kde (aka Search & Launch, Desktop, Folder View ) & this like this since the start of plasma. You should open a bug report upstream & ask them to change it if you think it's too much confusing. |
