Description of problem:

I have a dual screen setup using Twinview through a Nvidia card's propriety driver.

By right clicking on the desktop of the primary screen to change the photo of the desktop, the bottom entry reads "Folder View Settings".

However, on the secondary screen, the bottom item correctly reads "Desktop Settings"

And are you using the same layout on both screen ?
Because you can use folder view layout  on one screen but also the desktop layout on the second screen or the search & launch layout...

That could be. However, it was not intentionally setup like that so I will not be aware of it.

Well from your description it's more probably something like that (which should also match with upstream default activities).

Hi Koos, I understand from John's reaction, that a difference in lay-out between the screens is the default. So this isn't a bug and I'm closing it. If you don't agree, feel free to reopen it and tell us why you do still think it is a bug.

Point taken that it is not a bug then, but it leads to confusion since both those menu descriptions opens the same sort of screen to configure the desktop - and that is what I as user want to get to easily.

So yes, I do believe that whatever the layout is called, configuring a desktop must say "configure desktop" and "folder view layout" is rather subject to that.

This name simply reflect the layout used by kde (aka Search & Launch, Desktop, Folder View ) & this like this since the start of plasma.
You should open a bug report upstream & ask them to change it if you think it's too much confusing.
