RESOLVED If you take a look again in the description you'll see that this issue is infact to begin with in Mageia. get-skype is packaged in Mageia gnome-volume-control-applet is also packaged in Mageia so therefor opening this again. Status:

REOPENED If the panel was working with Mageia's PA and doesn't work with compiled PA then how is this our problem? I would still close this bug as invalid as there is probably no progress coming.. CC:

sander.lepik It worked, but not the way I wanted it to work. The mic wasn't enabled. So, what is the real problem then? That the panel-applet you compiled disappears (we won't fix) or that Mageia's pulseaudio doesn't enable the mic? And if the latter, doesn't it work after you change the relevant settings using the appropiate tools? To me not turning the mic on by default seems a perfectly fine and acceptable setting for most users. The latter issue & if you use Skype, how are you supposed to be able to make yourself heard if the mic is somehow muted? I did use the PA-gui. Nothing good came out of it. This is not a mageia bug, it's simply a problem relating to using self compiled packages that are conflicting with internal things. It should be closed. The original issue of Skype + mic muting could still be a problem, but that is not the topic of this bug. Status:
