RPM Spec files + patches + sources for Libglvnd
Bug 26432 (for the link!). Thank you for the suggestion. Assigning this package request to all packagers collectively. On a voluntary basis, one of them might, if there are no license or other legal issues, want to integrate it to the distribution and maintain it for bug and security fixes. You Elliot might also want to join the packager team to maintain this piece of software: see https://wiki.mageia.org/en/Becoming_a_Mageia_Packager Since you know about SPEC files, patches etc, please consider this seriously. We are always in need of more manpower. Summary:
Libglvnd for Mageia =>
libglvnd for Mageia, new package request to enable Nvidia 435/440 drivers It's usually better to get a package with one or more libraries from OpenMandriva. Their spec repository seems to be at https://github.com/OpenMandrivaAssociation. So the libglvnd one was at https://github.com/OpenMandrivaAssociation/libglvnd. The Fedora spec doesn't follow the Mageia packaging guidelines. The OpenMandriva (from a quick check) only needed a tiny change (Release: %mkrel 1). You can see the current Mageia spec at http://svnweb.mageia.org/packages/cauldron/libglvnd/current/. To see which distributions already have a package I often use https://pkgs.org/. I've submitted libglvnd to Cauldron. Resolution:

Cauldron Okay, hope this helped in some way! It caused me to pay attention to the bug. It's pretty unusual to have someone already have a spec file for it. Also, it feels like a shared effort, that's quite nicer. Unfortunately I think I'm not good at training, I do hope you'll help more in some way (e.g. packager). |
