Description Elliot L 2020-04-03 22:43:12 CEST
Description of problem:
The latest Nvidia driver (version 430) in the repo does not support Nvidia Prime render offloading for dual GPU laptops. Upgrading the package to at least version 435 (although preferably 440 which has the feature fully implemented) would provide compatibility with more systems and better power management support compared to Bumblebee and Primus. This could also be combined with mageia-prime to give the user better control over their hardware.

Hi, M8 is around the corner.
If you wishes, a netinstal ISO is available here.
You could also wait for the RC1 ISO due to be out this weekend.

It contains many fixes for Optimus laptop and new nvidia-drivers.

Note also that nvidia-current 460 series is alos available in M7 Backports.
