Description of problem: I make use of pymol a lot in my line of work. I have used it to produce images for publication in professional journals. I am unable to build the source on Mageia 1 (gcc4.5 problem) and attempts to build the src.rpm from Mandriva has its own problems.

etting version to cauldron to improve the chance that someone will package it. When it is in cauldron, it is expected to be available in the first stable release that follows, but it is also possible to reopen this request for Mga 1, then.

Assigning this package request to all packagers collectively. On a voluntary basis, one of them might want to integrate it to the distribution and maintain it for bug and security fixes.

You might also want to join the packager team to maintain this piece of software: see https://wiki.mageia.org/en/Becoming_a_Mageia_Packager
