syslog-ng is installed partly on two different prefixes:
- system binaries and libraries are installed under /sbin and /lib
- management binaries and data are installed under /usr/bin and /usr/share/syslog-ng

I guess this is supposed to make syslog-ng working without /usr mounted, as rsyslog for instance, but I wonder if that has been really tested, and if it is worth the trouble of such an awful setup.

I suppose you'll get more feedback if you discuss about this issue on the ml (well, when there is a dev ml again :/ ), or on #mageia-dev, or on the upstream ml

Please set status to ASSIGNED if you think this bug was assigned correctly. If for workflow reasons you can't do that, then please put OK on the whiteboard instead.

This bug was filed against cauldron, but we do not have cauldron at the moment.

Please report whether this bug is still valid for Mageia 2.
