A whole new package offered! Congratulations. Does it include a 'man' page? And for the SRPM? The announcement and test: https://www.mageialinux-online.org/forum/topic-27249-4+installation-pilote-special-clavier-rog-aura-keyboard.php 12/02/2020 14h39 & 14h45 The source project: https://github.com/wroberts/rogauracore The actual RPM: https://www.mageialinux-online.org/upload/rogauracore-1_2-1_mga7_x86_64.rpm I had to read all the thread to understand what this is about. It is very specialised. From the attached package spec, this is what it does: ----------------------------------------------------- Summary: RGB keyboard control for Asus ROG laptops %description Linux-compatible open-source libusb implementation similar to the ROG Aura Core software. Supports RGB keyboards with IDs: 0b05:1854 (GL553, GL753) 0b05:1866 (GL504, GL703, GX501, GM501) 0b05:1869 (GL503, FX503, GL703) ------------------------------- Assigning this package request to all packagers collectively. On a voluntary basis, one of them might, if there are no license or other legal issues, want to integrate it to the distribution and maintain it for bug and security fixes. You Jybz might also want to join the packager team to maintain this piece of software: see https://wiki.mageia.org/en/Becoming_a_Mageia_Packager I guess what is needed is to integrate this into our Core Git/SVN, but I doubt it is as simple as that. pkg-bugs I'm joining ! https://ml.mageia.org/l/arc/dev/2020-02/msg00083.html ;) There is one thing is the spec /not good/, it works with %configure2_5x but doesn't with %configure. The project doesn't include a manpage. Is the SRPM needed ? I thought everything can be done from the SPEC. If needed, I can attach it. No man page, OK if the command alone, or with -h, or --help, outputs that. I cannot add to the rest. CC:

For a user who wants to control his RGB led backlight keyboard, I wrote the .SPEC > https://www.mageialinux-online.org/forum/topic-27249+installation-pilote-special-clavier-rog-aura-keyboard.php
