Sorry to hear this.
Normally this sort of problem means a bad download for whatever reason, probably the Internet connection. The mirror you cite is the main one, and that which I use.
The libreoffice update was announced 30th November (my own system was updated 1st December). This has been out so long that you must believe that the update itself is correct, or we would have had this complaint immediately.

This is not good. You can try some things:
- Clear out /var/cache/urpmi/rpms/* [to stop bad downloads being re-used]
  # urpmi --clean
- Change the downloader used: CCM-Manage software-Configure sources ->
  menu Choices-Global choices-Download program
  I sometimes had problems with aria2, but they were always reported.
- Change to a different mirror (in France)

Naturally you were right.
I think 'urpmi --clean' did the trick, and I have also replace 'curl' by 'wget'. Nothing against 'curl', I have used it at work without any problem, but who knows?
The trouble is, this is the first time I find an error of that sort, and I use Mandrake/Mageia from Mandrake 9.0.
So thank you for your efficient reply.
