Description Sander Lepik 2011-09-01 21:57:34 CEST
Description of problem:

Chromium is only updated on cauldron. This is not good, if we want to keep this package in Mageia it must be updated on mga1 as well. Else we should drop it.

This was fixed in Cauldrun by updating cups :-( ...
Comment 3 Sander Lepik 2011-09-06 10:42:38 CEST
Is it possible to patch cups in mga1 to make it work?
Comment 4 D Morgan 2011-09-07 12:39:44 CEST

https://www.diginotar.nl/ - The site's security certificate is not trusted

So diginotar is revoked

Spell checking appears OK
Comment 13 claire robinson 2011-09-07 19:03:51 CEST
As we've had a few QA'ing we should be able to validate this, maybe wait for Dave to check i586 too.
Comment 14 Dave Hodgins 2011-09-07 23:42:08 CEST
Everything looks good here. I'll go ahead and validate it.

Can someone from the sysadmin team push the srpm
chromium-browser-stable-13.0.782.220-1.1.mga1.src.rpm
from Core Updates Testing to Core Updates.

Advisory: This update to the chromium-browser-stable web browser includes
a number of bug fixes, as well a security fix for fraudulently issued ssl
certificates. For details see

Why aren't chromium beta and unstable packaged for Mageia 1 ?
At work on my Ubuntu 11.04 I use chromium unstable (chromium daily) and it rarely crashes (the few times I can take a break and surf the Internet). It's sometimes fun to see the new changes in Chromium.
In cauldron they are present but I do not know how to configure Mageia's rpm to add cauldron repositories and only update the chromium packages.
Comment 17 Sander Lepik 2011-09-08 11:12:56 CEST
Be happy that we got stable updated :) If there will be more human power there probably will be beta and unstable too. Currently we don't have resources for that..
Comment 18 Raphaël Vinet 2011-09-08 18:52:00 CEST
Hi,

I would ask something ...
As writen in comment 7 i was interested to do something but

... not more now as yesterday i see nothing in testing :-(

i know i must 'wait' but ... > 24Hours .. normal to wait so long to see a 'difference' in rpmdrake ?

and yes i select the repositery testing... and update and wait and ... so ? missed something ?

Comment 19 Samuel Verschelde 2011-09-08 18:55:26 CEST
The package is no more in cauldron because the update has been validated and now it has been pushed to updates. However, you can still test it and report any problems you would encounter, in case we missed some.

There is a list of Tier 1 mirrors here Raphaël

http://mirrors.mageia.org/?tier1

You might find one of those updates quicker than the one you are on.
