mageia (In reply to Martin Whitaker from comment #5) > What is the output of > > grep CRDA_DOMAIN /etc/sysconfig/network Hi, this the result: grep CRDA_DOMAIN /etc/sysconfig/network CRDA_DOMAIN=FR @Guillaume : have you always had this problem since installation or upgrade ? Or has it arisen after a kernel update ? --- Thank you Thomas & Martin for looking at this. This looks like tmb's territory, so excuse me for assigning this to you. Please re-assign it if you see fit. Assignee:

tmb We need kernel logs to see what happends when it tries to join a network at channel 12 or 13 (In reply to Thomas Backlund from comment #8) > We need kernel logs to see what happends when it tries to join a network at > channel 12 or 13 Yes, how can i do that? Can you teach me? (In reply to Guillaume Royer from comment #9) > (In reply to Thomas Backlund from comment #8) > > We need kernel logs to see what happends when it tries to join a network at > > channel 12 or 13 > > Yes, how can i do that? Can you teach me? I have to try to connect wifi with command in terminal, because net_applet in graphic mod doesn't see my internet box when it switch on channel 12 & 13. In a terminal, as root run journalctl -f | tee journal.log Then in another terminal try to connect. You should see system log messages being echoed in the first terminal. Once the attempt to connect has failed, type Ctrl-C in the first terminal to terminate journalctl. The log messages will have been saved in the journal.log file, which you can attach to this bug report. Hi, this what i've done: I have disconnet wifi and shutdown net_applet. I move my internet box on channel 13. Then i ran wifi with the command: wpa_supplicant -D wext -i wlp2s0 -c /etc/wpa_supplicant.conf & dhclient wlp2s0 All log are in "jounal.log" Then i have ran net_applet and i move my internet box on channel 2 and my computer connected to it. All log are in "journal-2.log" Do you have enough data for work? Created attachment 11416 [details]

Log connecting on channel 2 wifi
Just for your intend, kernel 5.4.6 doesn't solve the problem. the log for channel 13 is not correct, it has no info what so ever about the wifi... anyway, I have pushed a broadcom-wl-6.30.223.271-55.mga7 to nonfree updates_testing with various fixes from debian. Cn you try and see if that works any better ? wich one will should be install in first? broadcom-wl-common-6.30.223.271-55.mga7.nonfree.x86_64.rpm ? or dkms-broadcom-wl-6.30.223.271-55.mga7.nonfree.x86_64.rpm ? is there order of installation? Thank you install both So, broadcom-wl-common-6.30.223.271-55.mga7.nonfree.x86_64.rpm & dkms-broadcom-wl-6.30.223.271-55.mga7.nonfree.x86_64.rpm don't change anything. Wi-Fi doesn't connect to Chanel 12 & 13... Ok, so for now I suggest you dont use channel 12 & 13... I'm not sure we will be able to fix it as the broadcom wl driver is a closed source driver that broadcom stopped supporting in 2015, and we cant fix the binary-only bits... but you also wrote you tried the free driver too, and it does not work either. can you provide more info and logs about that ? also the output of lspcidrake -v Thank you for your response and your help. But I don't want to try to reinstall free driver. The computer is not my computer and i can't access it when i want. I don't want to broke wifi connexion. I'll follow your suggestion and don't use channel 12 & 13. The computer is out of order now. So i closed that report. All along life computer, i used wifi on channerl under channel 12 & 13 Resolution:
