With a netinstall, I have selected the minimum of RPMS : all boxes unticked, so that no X, no recommends, no docs are installed. Still, the box 'really minimal install' being unticked, it is expected that urpmi will be installed.

Only "Truly minimal install":
http://doc.mageia.org/installer/7/en/content/software.html#minimal-install

should skip urpmi.

Please attach /root/drakx/report.bug.xz from the affected install

I am unable to reproduce this, using the Mageia-7.1-netinstall-nonfree ISO. Maybe a temporary mirror/network problem?

Sorry, I did the bad thing overwriting the VM. And now I do not get the bug anymore... I'll reopen if it happens again.
