Description Frank Griffin 2019-08-08 20:55:24 CEST
Recent k3b, when used to burn an ISO with the "verify" option, completes successfully (the main burn window shows "Success" indicating that the comparison of the burned disk with the source ISO was exact). However, a popup also appears on the desktop saying "Examination (Failed)" and mentioning a filename of the ISO image filename suffixed with ".000".

Previously, if the verification failed, the main window showed "Error" and there was no corresponding popup.

Another interesting aspect is that the popups remain on the desktop even after the burn window has been closed.

Even more interesting: when you close k3b, the popups remain.
