Strace of libreoffice in MGA7
Mageia bugzilla is for issues in packages provided in Mageia repos, not 3rdparty ones Resolution:

INVALID I have left a note on the LibreOffice Bugzilla re: the 6.2.x.x fails at its spalsh screen and have also left my strace [https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=126440] I have also commented on the 6.3.x.x not installing. [https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=126774] as it exhibits the same behavious. Note that the v.6.1.x.x downloaded versions do work. So some change starting with v.6.2.x.x and v.6.3.x.x has affected the install routine from the LibreOffice site. Note that in the Mageia software archives, we can install the LibreOffice v.6.3.2.2 and it would seem the Mageia LibreOffice package maintainer(s) has managed to get it to work on Mageia7. I wonder then if the issue is with Mageia given that it does not appear any other Linux distro users have submitted bug reports on the Mageia Bugzilla complaining that the new LibreOffice v.6.3.0.4 is not working well on their distros. Nor have I seen any other complaints on the user mailing lists (I am on all of them and also the FR, and ES lists). I wonder then, given the behaviour is the same for both the 6.2.x.x and 6.3.x.x versions, if the Mageia team could also take a look at this issue. I am supposing the LibreOffice devs will also take a look at it. It would seem to me that the Mageia LibreOffice package maintainer(s) already know the fix to the issue and could perhaps rectify it with an update of the missing piece of software? It could also then be pointed out to the LibreOffice team if it presents itself as an issue from their side? Does this make sense? Marc LibreOffice Marketing Member (Canada) Long-time Mageia user CC:
