Claws-mail keeps changing. From Mageia 5 to 6 the default behaviour on deleting a message was changed from move down to next, to move up to previous. Infuriating. To revert to previous behaviour, with Clawsker, which is worth installing, (Claws-mail must not be running): GUI-Message List-tick Select next message on delete. From Mageia 6 to 7, The Fancy plugin has been replaced by Dillo HTML Viewer, which you can install. Alas, this is not nearly so good as was Fancy, and is problematic in use. I hope to get some clarification from the Claws-mail mailing list. The Claws-mail website still shows the Fancy plugin; and the TNEF parse plugin. I will ask about that also; and here for why we do not offer these any longer. Assigning to Julien as the relevant maintainer. Assignee:

julien.moragny Plugins aren't really missing, they were deliberately removed. Fancy plugin was dropped because it was using really old and insecure webkit1 plus webkit1 was also dropped. One can use litehtml_viewer instead. It's not working perfectly, but is at least something and better than dillo. Tnef was dropped due to security issues (bug 21047). Closing the bug as WONTFIX. WONTFIX Thanks for the info. Hopefully they will resolve the TNEF security issue at some point. I was unaware of the "litehtml_viewer" plugin. It is not even listed on the site: https://www.claws-mail.org/plugins.php But it is there in the list and does seem to work! It looks like they just added it in VERY recently and perhaps have not updated any of the documentation or site. It doesn't have the nice options of "fancy", but I think it will meet the needs. Hopefully those searching on the same issue will now see this report and it can help them. Litehtml viewer was officially announced with the latest release 3.17.4 on 26 July 2019. I've created an update request to 3.17.4 for mga7 (bug 25217). The Lighthtml plugin is included the current 7.1 rpm- version 3.17.3git146. But an update would be a good idea. |
