Backport i tested the driver NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-280.13.run in my system since the 10 Septembre and everything works fine. I have kwin effects enabled Also it has fixed a little problem that i had with the previous driver: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=280855 Assigning to maintainer now that our maintainers database has an entry for this package. Please assign back to bugsquad@mageia.org in case of a mistake from me. CC:

stormi Unfortunately backports repository is still not opened. Until it is, you can use http://onse.fi/nvidia-mgabuild/ to generate packages yourself. Thanks very much i installed the driver 290 64bit rpm with succes. I have uploaded the rpms here: http://www.mageia-gr.org/rpm/1/x86_64/ And for i586: http://www.mageia-gr.org/rpm/1/i586/ I close the bug as, comment #3, and availability by generating the rpms or install them already done from the above links. REOPENED Ah sorry , i thought that Mageia 1 will not have updates after the release of Mageia 2. Also, the latest nvidia driver 295.xx it is non compatible with the version of xserver of Mageia 1 . So the latest version that i have in my system to have the 3D enabled is the 290.10 Please look at the bottom of this mail to see whether you're the assignee of this bug, if you don't already know whether you are.
