Description Shlomi Fish 2019-06-12 19:12:35 CEST
Description of problem:

After running update-grub2 , grub-mkconfig , grub2-install etc. grub still loads in command line mode. I can load the menu using "configfile (hd0,msdos1)/grub2/grub.cfg" at startup, but it is not ideal. Note that it started happening after i uninstalled many packages - accidentally.

I since installed :

shlomif[ink]:$trunk$ rpm -qa | grep -iE 'grub|plymou'
plymouth-plugin-label-0.9.4-1.mga7
grub2-2.02.0-15.mga7

I meant grub2-mkconfig.

The problem has been fixed now after running update-grub2 again. Thanks to #grub on freenode. Thank you too.
