Duplicate of bug#20327 and others complaining that tap-to-click is not enabled by default in install/DMs/DEs ? CC:

ftg No.. In this case the trackpad did not work at all. No cursor movement, so clicking or tapping did not work. Tap to click is not enabled by default after the installation, but that easily rectified (default would be nice), but this is in the install process so that installation is impossible with the trackpad. The only way the installation proceeded was because a mouse was available. Oops, I spoke too fast and on the basis or your description rather than reading the bug report. Sorry. Yes, the two are very similar, so that duplicate is probably the right term. The trackpad works in Live.
