Description Jüri Ivask 2019-04-10 14:29:01 CEST
Description of problem: sddm with dual monitor setup - no password input focus with intel X driver

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 0.18.0-4.mga7

How reproducible: every time

Steps to Reproduce:
1. start computer with dual monitor and sddm as dm
2. sddm is displayed at both monitors with mouse cursor centred at both
3. start to type password
4. no input focus of password field on any of the monitors
So you can type blindly the password and it is actually accepted and login is successfull. If yoy select the password field in either monitor - you can see the dots.

Expected behaviour - password input focus is preselected at primary monitor.

Workaround is to use modesetting X driver - then the input focus is correctly at primary monitor password field.

It seems that with modesetting driver sddm is started with extended desktop setup as the (one) mouse cursor is between the monitors at the right side of primary one. With intel driver sddm starts with cloned desktops as the mouse cursor is centered at both monitors.
