How reproducible:

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Start Kmail

2. Immediately see "The Akonadi personal information management service
is not operational". 
   Above it a red box containing a white cross; below it is a white rectangle with the word 'Details'.

3. No response when selecting either of those boxes...

N.B. Similar Akonadi problem when starting Kalarm...

After a 103-package Cauldron update today the problem has disappeared - as has the Kalarm Akonadi problem.

Fingers crossed no recurrence. :-)
