I use the net applet to connect the GPRS/Edge/3G HUAWEI modem and I enter the password. I see the connection. Then I open the browser window and enter any url. Normally I should now be redirected to the login page of the provider in order to connect again. This does not work any more as in Mageia 5. I do not see any provider login page. It still works with WLAN, but not with GPRS. The connection GPRS still works fine under Windows Vista.

Franz, can you please, after booting your system and trying again:

  Open a terminal/konsole
  Become root
  Run:
       journalctl -ab > log.txt

  Attach log.txt to this bug report.

The connection via the GPRS modem has not been successfull. No error message is shown. However the "connect" button remains inactive all the time. It never changes into an active "deconnect" button.

Assigning to the Mageia Tools maintainers and CC'ing the registered drakx-net maintainer, for them to figure out whether drakx-net is the culprit or whether the issue is with another package.

Since we have not received feedback to the information we have requested above, we will assume the problem was not reproducible, or has been fixed in one of the updates we have released for the reporter's distribution.

Users who have experienced this problem are encouraged to upgrade to the latest update of our distribution, and if this issue turns out to still be reproducible in the latest update, please reopen this bug with additional information.
