It may have had a bug in kernel 4.14.100 initrd creation. Can you try to remove it and resintall it? Also maybe yuo can try with MGA7 Beta Live media? CC:

Did you try that, Robert, boot with kernel-4.9.35, then remove kernel-4.14.100, then add kernel-4.14.100 again and reboot. If that doesn't work, then please, right after a failed boot, boot with kernel-4.9.35 again, open a terminal/konsole, become root and run: journalctl -ab -1 > log.tx and attach log.txt to this bug report.
