Description of problem:  gnome-mplayer 1.09 (gui) - when I choose view playlist the windows starts expanding to the right outside of the screens resolution


Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 7beta2


How reproducible:  Load music in mplayer playlist.  Then click view playlist.


Steps to Reproduce:
1.  Load music in playlist (mp3, flac. etc.)
2.  Click on View - choose playlist

Here it works fine, when I choose view playlist the windows starts expanding to the right and stop at the end of the screen resolution (and not outside).

Mine is 1366x720.  Wondering if it is defaulting to 1080P or something else.

Have you tried a lower resolution?

Since 2014, gnome-mplayer was only pushed by a bot. Last upstream commit was 4 years ago, do we really need this package?

As we have a lot of fun, maintained and functional gui music player I would says too as we should drop this dead project.

No issues on dropping it.  It was included in the Sound/Video options in Xfce.  Why don't we replace that with Clementine?

Dropped.  This app really only existed to support gecko-mediaplayer, which is also no longer of any use:
