Description Lewis Smith 2019-02-19 11:06:27 CET
Description of problem:
Under Gnome, when you insert an optical medium audio CD or video DVD, there is a brief pop-up notification which has to be scrolled to see the [correct] application to launch. If you are not super quick to grab this notification, it disappears within a few seconds, and you are left wondering what to do next.
If you *know* what application it was proposing (normally RhythmBox or Videos=Totem), you have to launch that explicitly, and then open the displayed medium, which in principle then plays OK.
If you try Files, it shows the medium but offers no way (context menu) of opening it with an application.

All being asked for is that such notifications should remain displayed much longer, to give you time to view/scroll them and click.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
M7 beta

How reproducible:
Every time.

Steps to Reproduce:
Insert an audio CD or video DVD, see the fleeting notification.

I am closing this as nobody else seems to mind.
In fact I found probing another bug:
 https://bugs.mageia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=24791#c1
that at the current state of play (M7beta3) Gnome and video DVDs are iffy.
