Description of problem:
I need for my work placement project a monitoring solution compatible with magiea 6.
Zabbix-server has all the required criteria for my project but the last version was for mageia 4.

Zabbix have a download page to install it from: https://www.zabbix.com/download

I suggest you choose 4.0 LTS followed by Red Hat Enterprise Linux and then what database you normally use.

Just follow the instructions below on that page.

I think you should make sure that yum is installed as well.

package is available but there is permission issue on /var/log, i will take a look.

During my work placement, I did not have time to finish my project.
I therefore contact you to know if you would agree to help me finish my project (integrate zabbix on mageia to integrate it in an alcasar server).

Changing version to Cauldron and MGA7TOO, because Mageia 6 is no longer supported and the zabbix-3.0.24-1.3.mga6 packages disappeared from 6 core/backports_testing

If you still need to upgrade to Mageia 7: a safe way would be to use a
netinstall ISO http://doc.mageia.org/netinstall/7/en/content/index.html and
then select to upgrade in the "Install or Upgrade" step.

Hello.
my work placement is finished since March 2019.
it means that I can not do my project anymore.
but I think that my project will be taken over by the next trainee.

Well, the package was dropped for a reason, but if someone wants to backport it to Mageia 7 and maintain it, they can open a bug for that (possibly this one).
