Description of problem:
<xfce-component> --version is supposed to display version information. In cauldron, calling "xfce4-panel --version" the (first) line with this info provides

 xfce4-panel 4.13.3 (Xfce 4.12)

This is not a simple matter of documentation - the info on the version may be needed by customisation script to adapt their behaviour to differences between versions of XFCE (for instance the change of the representation of foreground and background colors of panels and the desktop from 4.12 to 4.13)

This bug report is on xfce4-panel - other components, such as xfce4-session, have the same problem.
