Updated without any problems from 410.66 on Intel Core i7-4790 with nvidia GeForce GTX 970. Checked glmark2, teapot, and Stellarium. Normal desktop applications working as usual. Good for this hardware. CC:

tarazed25 Ok, we found out during mga7 beta1 testing that drakx might trigger a switch to free driver if it fails to detect libglx, so I've added compat symlinks to keep it (and maybe other sw) happy... So the rpms to test is now: SRPMS: ldetect-lst-0.3.7.9-4.mga6.src.rpm nvidia-current-410.78-1.1.mga6.nonfree.src.rpm x86_64: ldetect-lst-0.3.7.9-4.mga6.x86_64.rpm ldetect-lst-devel-0.3.7.9-4.mga6.x86_64.rpm dkms-nvidia-current-410.78-1.1.mga6.nonfree.x86_64.rpm nvidia-current-cuda-opencl-410.78-1.1.mga6.nonfree.x86_64.rpm nvidia-current-devel-410.78-1.1.mga6.nonfree.x86_64.rpm nvidia-current-doc-html-410.78-1.1.mga6.nonfree.x86_64.rpm x11-driver-video-nvidia-current-410.78-1.1.mga6.nonfree.x86_64.rpm Summary:

Backport request: nvidia-current-410.78-1.1.mga6.nonfree 410.78 running on nvidia GTX970 after reboot. $ rpm -qa | grep nvidia dkms-nvidia-current-410.78-1.1.mga6.nonfree x11-driver-video-nvidia-current-410.78-1.1.mga6.nonfree nvidia-current-doc-html-410.78-1.1.mga6.nonfree nvidia-current-cuda-opencl-410.78-1.1.mga6.nonfree nvidia-current-devel-410.78-1.1.mga6.nonfree $ sudo dkms status | grep nvidia nvidia-current, 410.78-1.1.mga6.nonfree, 4.18.20-desktop-1.mga6, x86_64: installed Ran the usual tests with OpenGL settings 'Sync to Vblank' unchecked: glmark2, teapot, stellarium, virtualbox - all OK. vlc works OK. $ vlc --avcodec-hw none --key-subtitle-toggle u <title> Slightly jerky in 4K fullscreen mode but otherwise fine. All is well on the new i9 machine. nvidia GTX 1080Ti $ sudo dkms status nvidia-current, 410.78-1.1.mga6.nonfree, 4.18.12-desktop-1.mga6, x86_64: installed Desktop applications all working. Tests ran OK. Laptop with twin nvidia GTX965M - only one in use. 3K display. Updated to nvidia-current. Rebooted to Maté desktop - all looks normal. glmark2 and teapot worked fine but stellarium crashed on a runtime-error. Not sure if it has ever run on this machine. vlc works alright, in fullscreen as well. celestia crashes but that has had a problem throughout the life of mga6. It works in cauldron but needs to be rebuilt for mageia 6, which seems an unlikely possibility. It may be a libgl problem. nvidia GTX770
Installation ran smoothly.
