I have uploaded a patched package for Mageia 6.

Testing this time is easy. You just have to confirm that get-telegram is able to download Telegram, unpack it and start it.

Mageia 6, x86_64

Installed get-telegram - it appeared in the Internet menus but nothing happened when it was invoked.

Updated the package.
Clicked on Telegram Desktop in the menus: it downloaded Telegram, unpacked it and presented a gui. Clicked Start Messaging and tried entering a landline number - it probably needs a smartphone. The landline number is invalid apparently. Anyway, it works.
