attach the file /root/drakx/report.bug.gz Forget the comment 1, indeed you don't have Mageia installed sorry :) For bugs related to the traditional installer, DrakX (i.e. the Free DVD, not the Live CD's), the reporter should provide the file /root/drakx/report.bug.gz as an attachment. An easy way for doing this is ask the reporter to switch to console 2 (by pressing âCtrl-Alt-F2â) during installation, put a floppy in floppy drive or plug a USB key/stick and type âbugâ then press Enter. It will put report.bug on the floppy/key. NEEDINFO The reporter is talking about the live CD AFAIK, not DVD installer. CC:

stormi @ blino We don't know what additional information to ask, there is nothing in our triage guide about installing from a live cd Assigning to you. Feel free to assign back, telling us what information we should have asked for. Keywords:

(none) Oops, and now I can think of a question @ e l Did you control the checksums of the iso before burning it and did you let K3b, or whatever you used, check the cd after burning? (In reply to comment #6) > Oops, and now I can think of a question > > @ e l > > Did you control the checksums of the iso before burning it and did you let K3b, > or whatever you used, check the cd after burning? @ blino It seems I didn't assign, as I thought I did in comment 5, but it is better this way. Any suggestions you have are welcome, though Keywords:

NEEDINFO e l replied in a mail: > During 10 years of using mandrake, never checked the cd! Have > successfully installed mandriva, opensuse, redhat. Well, please try again with a checked iso and when starting to burn the CD, please use the option to verify the CD Maybe it would be even better to try Mga2Alpha1 http://blog.mageia.org/en/2011/11/25/mageia-2-alpha1-ready-for-testing/ > After many attempts, could not sign in, password rejected even after reset!!! Someone who installed Mga2Alpha1 CD in Virtual Box reported a problem with the keyboard https://bugs.mageia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=3510 If you keep having this problem: which keyboard did you choose, could this be bug 3510? e l sent a mail: > > Well, please try again with a checked iso and when starting to burn the CD, > > please use the option to verify the CD > > > I'm sorry, but if mageia cannot allow creation of a cd, this does not > give confidence! > > Maybe it would be even better to try Mga2Alpha1 > > > For now, will not to use mageia; I found other distributions that > worked first time. So closing this bug as OLD Status:
