This is working fine on all four x86_64 workstations here. All Intel Core i7 and i9 cpus NVIDIA graphics GTX 555, 770, 970, 1080Ti Mate desktop functioning, wifi and ethernet, virtualbox... stress tests for cpu, io, memory and disk transactions glmark2 OK CC:

Don't know what happened to glmark2 but the score increased 300%. glxspheres and teapot worked as before, similar frame-rates to the pre-update case. Need to take a rest - wrong hardware - scrub comment 3 x86_64, Intel Core i7 with NVIDIA GTX 970 graphics. Booted linus kernel to Mate desktop - functioning OK, networking, TV, stress tests, virtualbox. Don't know what happened to glmark2 but the score increased 300%. glxspheres and teapot worked as before, similar frame-rates to the pre-update case. Mageia 6, x86_64 Deca core Intel Core i9-7900X NVIDIA GP102 [GeForce GTX 1080 Ti] Mate desktop running smoothly. stress tests OK. Networking, NFS shares, bluetooth sound, TV, video all OK.
