Mageia 6, x86_64, Mate DE Selected Italian, French, German, Spanish, Dutch, Swedish (Sverige), Turkish from the lists and installed available documentation. English manuals were supplied by default, i.e. without being asked for. Noted that the screenshots for installation and MCC tended in general to be consistent with the language but one or two rendered in English. Apart from that everything looks to be in order. Only two of the manuals were available for Italian. Installed only doc-mcc for Russian and checked that it could be viewed in a browser and that the screenshots were consistent. Did the same for Catalan and Polish; the contents list had several sections entitled in plain English and patchily rendered in the associated documentation but there are bound to be works in progress in such a huge body of work. The translators have a Herculean task in front of them. Romanian looked OK for MCC. MCC and netinstall screenshots in English for Basque (eu). The Japanese and Chinese titles do not show in the system menu, presumably because the characters cannot be rendered in UTF-8. In summary, the full sets of available documentation have been installed successfully for en, fr, de, nl, it, es, sv and tr. In addition MCC documentation is OK for eu, ca, pl and ru. CC:

herman.viaene @ Herman: On my setup the Applications menu in the panel comes up with Documentation near the bottom of the list, between Sciences and Install & Remove software, but checking another machine where the documentation is not installed I see that does not appear. After installing at least one language pack try: $ sudo update-menus PS: sv probably stands for svensk not Sverige. Aargh - wrong advice. Run update-menus as user. $ ls /bin/update-menus /bin/update-menus* Ran update-menus as root, logged out and logged in again as my normal user. That did the trick as well. I installed the Dutch packages, but this does draw in the English versions as well. Why is beyond me, or just to be on the safe side when some chapters haven't been translated yet?. Anyway it works OK. Len tested already the languages I know to some degree, so I cannot add much to it. Tested the English packages on a 64-bit Plasma system, as that is the only language I know. My high school Spanish disappeared from my brain years ago, due to neglect. I had to install the Live and installer doc packages rather than update, but that went well. They now appear in the Plasma menu under Documentation, and clicking on them brings them up in Firefox. Though I haven't read them all the way through yet, the English versions all look good. CC:
