Description of problem: Trying to login to a different userid via Switch User results in raw black screen with only these messages:
  kfd kfd: kdg2kfd_probe failed
  mmc0: Unknown controller version (3). You may experience problems.
  snd_hda_intel 0000:01:00.1: CORB reset timeout#2, CORBRP = 65535
and the system is totally unresponsive, requiring a power off to restore.

System is up to date.

How reproducible: every time I try


Steps to Reproduce:
1. Power/Session->Switch User
2. Click on Switch User
3. plasma disappears and system locks

Please let that happen again and then, after restarting the system, open a konsole, become root and do:

   journalctl -b -1 > log.txt

and attach log.txt to this bug report.

I assume you use SDDM as display manager?

Mageia 6 changed to end-of-life (EOL) status on 2019-09-30. It is no longer 
maintained, which means that it will not receive any further security or bug 
fix updates.

Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you plan 
to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version' to 
a later Mageia version.

Bug Reporter: Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that we 
weren't able to fix it before Mageia 6's end of life. If you are able to 
reproduce it against a later version of Mageia, you are encouraged to click 
on "Version" and change it against that version of Mageia.

lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a more recent
Mageia release includes newer upstream software that fixes bugs or makes them
obsolete.
