i did not include a reason for this, so adding in comments. this is so that mageia can install on hardware including an HP p408i-a raid controller, ie HP dl380 gen10 yes quite an obscure bit of high end hardware, but based on a user request. background on this https://forums.mageia.org/en/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=12418 or anything carrying an 5c:00.0 Serial Attached SCSI controller: Adaptec Device 028f (rev 01) based controller. FWIW, the in-tree module would just need to be enabled from what I can tell: [doktor5000@Mageia6]─[18:18:14]─[~] zgrep -i pqi /proc/config.gz # CONFIG_SCSI_SMARTPQI is not set CC:

tmb Thats an oversight :/ Enabled for next mga6 and Cauldron kernel ill close this even though i was not the victim of the bug. as far as im aware this bug is now resolved Resolution:
