Description of problem:

Typically I keep several kernels installed, and when a new kernel is installed, the (uefi) boot menu is appropriately updated.
However, if I uninstall an older kernel, the boot menu is not updated.
So an older kernel no longer installed is presented as a boot option.

This has occurred with all kernel updates since I acquiring my uefi system in March 2018

Occurs every time the boot menu displays, whenever I boot/reboot the system.

Thanks for the bug report.
This particular issue has already been reported in our bug tracking system, but please feel free to report any further bugs you find.
In general it is welcome to search for existing reports first to avoid filing duplicates.

If after removing a kernel package, you then run from a terminal
update-grub2
and supply root password when prompted this will correct the grub2 menu.
