d2x-xl is a source port of descent. Normally, I check out stable revisions from the SVN packaging this and tar them up myself. This game is ideal for fast computers with OpenGL support.

If you're interested in packaging, you could go through our mentorship program and become a Mageia packager (even if it's just for one application it's fine, though once you've learned all our packaging policies you'll likely want to use this knowledge to maintain more stuff for Mageia).
