Description roger herz-fischler 2018-05-24 16:09:04 CEST
I did not find:
1. Konqueror in the available software list (Mageia control centre)
2. pinta """""""

mageia 6.0 live 64 bit plasma desktop downloaded 2018.05.24

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

1. konqueror is surely there, but searching for "konqueror" does not show it.
2.The pinta bug appears to have been reported (based on a search for "pinta" in the bug list), but I am not sure if it is exactly the same problem.

How reproducible:
Steps to Reproduce:

1. download mageia 66 live and burn
2. boot as live and go to "install software"
3.a search for "konqueror"
  b.search for "pinta"

N.B. I did not test the full version. I tested the live version first to see if Okular had been upodated (it has been and is now supposed to keep the annotations with the PDF file). I did not want to test the install version until I was sure that the effort of going from 5 to 6 was worth the time and effort

That sounds as if a bad mirror was tried, or that you don't have the needed media enabled or added.

Please use the drakrpm-edit-media tool in MCC http://doc.mageia.org/mcc/6/en/content/drakrpm-edit-media.html to add a mirror (click on "File -> Add a specific media mirror:") that's green on this page http://mirrors.mageia.org/status
Or, if you already have a good mirror, make sure in that screen that the "Core Release" and "Core Updates" media are enabled.

Please report back whether that solves the issue.

No reply, so closing as OLD.

There's a good chance a bad mirror was the cause.

When bug 3166 is fixed, our tools should no longer use a bad mirror.

Bad mirrors themselves are something we cannot fix, because we don't own them, they aren't part of mageia.org.

If you hit a mirror that is bad for a few days or longer, then please contact its owner and ask him/her to fix it.
