Description of problem:
Sorry this is rather vague, but thought a report was needed.

I have hit this issue 3 times in the last two days when trying to send and recieve information to secure web sites.
Once with an airline company while booking tickets, once while using the diagnostics web application at my ISP and once when using PayPal to pay for an order.

The effect is the same in all cases. The page displays a rotating graphic of some sort while waiting for the server side actions to complete, but they never do. I waited at least 30 mins on two occasions.

Today when this happened with PayPal, I copy/pasted the page URL from Firefox into Google Chrome and it completed there almost instantly.

I can only conclude that the issue is with Firefox in fully updated Mageia 6.

I had some quirk when downloading a file from a restricted forum. Just a long pause while there was indication on the tab of it reloading but nothing happened.  Also with my adblocker set to not block anything, and relogin.

The same worked instantly in Basilisk.

When you start firefox from a terminal, do you then see any error message when this happens?

Some sites have started to only work with Firefox ESR 60, while ESR 52 was still supported. Please test with current FF ESR 60.2.x in Mageia if this happens still.

Mageia 6 changed to end-of-life (EOL) status on 2019-09-30. It is no longer 
maintained, which means that it will not receive any further security or bug 
fix updates.

Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you plan 
to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version' to 
a later Mageia version.

Bug Reporter: Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that we 
weren't able to fix it before Mageia 6's end of life. If you are able to 
reproduce it against a later version of Mageia, you are encouraged to click 
on "Version" and change it against that version of Mageia.

lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a more recent
Mageia release includes newer upstream software that fixes bugs or makes them
obsolete.
