If I try to create a new virtual machine, virt-manager complains about missing 
/usr/share/hwdata/pci.ids file, afer clicking on next button.

another way to reproduce the problem

$ LANG=C; virt-install --memory 1024 --cdrom /home/libvirt/Mageia-6-x86_64-DVD.iso --disk none --name test                                                                                                                                                               
ERROR    g-io-error-quark: Error opening file /usr/share/hwdata/pci.ids: No such file or directory (1)

The patch does not work, ldetect-lst already provide pci.ids file.

it is better to modify libosinfo to use the right file.
